Certified the safety of my balcony railings on 17 August, 2011

Cantilever means that the structure is supported on one side. So my glass balcony is cantilevered. The weight that it supports does not hinge on the metal railing. This was according to what the certified structural /civil engineer told me.
We decided to put sealant around the metal rail and not cement. The sealant is rubbery and it will allow some mobility of the railing without cracking.
